There is actually a way u can view all the files that are currently under operation and the software that is using it! Further you can close this task safely (or even kill it if it persists)!
There is a simple (and small) software which is capable of doing so, namely, OpenedFilesView! Trust me it can be really helpful when cracking software with write access locks and other stuff!
